Migration

Species on the Move: mid-April

Andrew Farnsworth The Cornell Lab Apr 06, 2020

Spring migration is now in full effect in many areas, with the beginnings of some peak windows of passage approaching for the southern latitudes of the US in the coming two weeks! As with previous posts like this, the tables below highlight species you can expect in your regions over the coming weeks. Note that, as our 1-, 2-, and 3- day forecasts highlight, the most noticeable movements will occur in eastern and southern portions US, where migration intensities will be light to medium. So, as you maintain your distance or watch and listen from your window or porch, enjoy the arriving waves of migrants!
